Mrs. Flossie Orena Hendrix Childers, age 96, of Prescott, Arkansas passed away, Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Hillcrest Care and Rehab in Prescott. She was born March 10, 1916, in the Bowen Community in Pike County, Arkansas, to Own B. and Katherine Wingfield Hendrix. Mrs. Childers was a homemaker and former clerk at the Dollar Store and McLelland’s Jewelry Stores in Prescott. She was a member of the Prescott Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Fred Taylor and Earl Childers, a son, Ray Taylor, two daughters, Hazel Taylor Graham, Wanda Childers Loe, an infant daughter, three brothers, Buford Hendrix, Olen Hendrix, Harold Hendrix, a sister Viola Hendrix Maddox and a granddaughter Lisa Crow.

Mrs. Childers is survived by two sons, Howard Taylor of Prescott, Arkansas, Glenn Childers of Blevins, Arkansas, a daughter Jo Ann McKinnon of Prescott, Arkansas, eighteen grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Friday, December 28, 2012, at Brazzel/Cornish The Funeral Home of Prescott.

Funeral service for Mrs. Childers will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, December 29, 2012, at the Prescott Church of Christ, Mr. Paul Robison and Mr. Wallace Alexander officiating.
