Mrs. Perrine Elizabeth Anthony Franklin was born on August 9, 1927, to Perry and Leola Stokes Anthony in Prescott, Arkansas. She departed this life on December 26, 2012, at Wadley Regional Medical Center of Texarkana, Texas. Mrs. Elizabeth Perrine Anthony was married to SSG. Reginald Franklin, Jr., and to this union three sons and one daughter were born.
Perrine was an avid traveler setting foot in several foreign countries before her succession to glory. As a beloved member of Munn’s Chapel Baptist Church she served on many auxiliaries including serving as President of the Building Fund. She was a wonderful cook with many coveting her prized recipes. Her spirited nature gained her the friendship of many in the community.
Perrine was preceded in death by her parents, Perry and Leola Stokes Anthony, her husband of 31 years, SSG. Reginald Franklin, Jr., four brothers, Herdith Anthony, Grady Anthony, William (Buddy) Anthony, and Perry Anthony, Jr., three sisters, Hazel Anthony Reed, Merarion Anthony Briggs, and Ophelia Anthony Foster.
Mourning her death are three sons, Willard (Melissa), Orlando (Tewonnia), and Reginald Franklin, III, all of Prescott, Arkansas, one daughter, Dr. Tiffany Franklin of Atlanta, Georgia, five siblings, Barbara Anthony Box of Rockford, Illinois, Benjamin Anthony and Betty Anthony Murchinson of Little Rock, Arkansas, Robert (Essie) Anthony of Dallas, Texas, Lillie Anthony Nimmer of Little Rock, Arkansas, eleven grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday, December 31, 2012, at Brazzel/Cornish The Funeral Home of Prescott.
Funeral service for Mrs. Franklin will be at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, January 2, 2013, at Munn’s Chapel Baptist Church in Prescott, Rev. Arthur Hill officiating.
